Lovecraft Country - The Dunwich Horror and Others...

Horrors from the New England hills!  A collection of Rafm and Grenadier Cthulhu figures, some of which I painted a good while ago, and some more recently.  The Rafm Lovecraft Country set, sculpted by Bob Murch, is the main attraction here.

The Whateleys pose for a family portrait...
Noah, Lavinia with young Wilbur, and mature Wilbur...
Lavinia Whateley, the mad, albino mother of hellspawn sired by things from other worlds...

Wilbur proudly shows off his tentacles...
Old Noah Whateley, the mad scholar of the hills...

...and one of his grandsons, the twisted monstrosity that will cleanse the earth of mankind...

The Whateley brothers pose outside the old family homestead...
...I added some road kill to the base to represent some of the luckless livestock the Dunwich horror stopped to feed on in the story...
The guardians of the Necronomicon!  Wilbur's nemesis, the security guard at Arkham University, and valiant old Professor Henry Armitage.
'Begone, ye devils!'
A Byakhee, one of the horrid steeds that can carry cultists through the lightless, airless gulfs of infinite space...
Lavinia poses with the Byakhee...

Noah arranges a nocturnal meeting with the Byakhee, perhaps trying to negotiate a lift...

A Dark Young of Shub Niggurath, stomps through the midnight glades near the Whateley farm house on some incomprehensible errand...
The Dark Young attempts a cuddle with Lavinia, and receives a rebuke ftom Wilbur!

'Ever hear tell of a Shoggoth?'  One of the protoplasmic horrors hinted at in The Shadow Over Innsmouth andwhich appears in At the Mountains of Madness.

Professor Armitage attempts to banish the Shoggoth to some other and preferably far distant plane of existance.

All hell breaks looseon the Whateley farm.  Professor Armitage bravely tries to put all these genies back in their bottles.
